Studio Mimesis is a design house , in which i mainly concentrate on original designs of light fixtures and lamps .  the sconce in the image is a sculptural interpretation of 'Mercury' - the 5th drawing from Steiner's 'planetary seals'. i made also lighting fixtures from other drawing from this series of seven , but my main artistic endeavor with this seals is a project called "seven phases of metamorphosis" , that you can check below.

Metamorphosis in seven stages

This is my longest and largest artistic endeavor thus far , in which i create sculptural interpretations to Rudolf Steiner's 'planetary seals'. this was done already by many , but still i feel this one is a little different.  i created seven vessels , that go through a metamorphosis of it's own.  i also use fire, light , and especially water to enhance what i feel to be the inner movements within each seal . the video above was initially produced for a crowed funding raising i did couple of years ago , to be able to speed up the project , which didn't went too well (although i had some really awesome perks). albeit that,  things still advance in a satisfactory way , and hopefully the new version of the 'Ancient sun' seal will be ready soon , with it's seven flow forms . below you can see one of the experiment's , and below that the introduction video for this projects with nice presentation of the subject of metamorphosis.

this project is still pretty fund consuming , and any donation will help . this could be done through the 'donate' button and the header.

Fractals are patterns of similarity on different scales that appear in natural phenomena , and could also be produces as the visual expression of mathematical equations. by playing with the parameters of this mathematical equations in a  software (applying transformations , changing parameters and coloring rules ), one can direct this visuals to create an algorithm art. the fractal art that i did could be divided to wall art , in which i tried to frame a scene , and in a later period , more iconic fractal art , in which i tried to create and isolate a motive and discard much of the complexity.
